Thanks to Mel who gave me that push I definitely needed to get back and post here. I have been so caught up with Facebook and Twitter, I have neglected my blog.
So many things have happened in my life since the last post. Not sure where to start or even where this post is going.
One thing is that I have cut my ties with a one someone that I had considered a friend maybe even best friend once but not anymore. See I realized that people are very unappreciative of things and don't value a friendship. Also I noticed that our lives are in two different directions and we absolutely have nothing in common anymore. It's funny how when I tell people that I am not cool with her anymore they are shocked. But one thing I say is that people come into your life for a reason and then they either stay or leave, simple as that. Plus in all honesty I can't see myself staying "friends" with someone who judges my personal life and tells all of their other friends my business.
On another note my youngest has gotten so big and is so so sassy. I love watching her grow and show her little personality. She keeps me on my toes.
Work is work, it is very stressful at times but ok other times.
My birthday is a month away. Another year that I will be grateful to hopefully make it to.
Quote of the day: Do onto others as you would want them to do onto you.

Merry Christmas
Finally done with all the wrapping.
Man I was up late last night. I have got to get a better game plan for next year. Now I am up waiting for the kids to awake.

I received this in an email from my cousin today and I would like to share it.
FOR COLORED GIRLS...
When I first heard of the movie "For Colored Girls" I got so
excited. I had the idea of getting as many women together that I
could think of to go see this movie. I had visions of group
discussions and moments shared with one another that would lead
to healing and growth; I guess I kind of imagined a Women's
Empowerment Conference type of setting.
Well after I shared my idea with a few women, reality set in and
I realized that so many of us wouldn't be willing to participate
for various reasons: You don't like me, you don't care for
somebody I might invite, you only hang out with certain people,
you don't understand the big deal about Tyler Perry making yet
another movie about black people and our issues for all the
world to see, you don't like crowds, so n so is too ghetto, such
and such is too uppity etc... It has ALWAYS amazed me that we as
black women are each others biggest critics. We are the quickest
to bring each other down, find each others faults and nit pick
at a sister until she has nothing left, nothing left to give and
then we step over her and call her worthless. We take the
prettiest women and tear them down for thinking "they are cute"
but turn around and dog the average sista because "she know she
should take better care of herself than that - can't believe she
got a man!" We call strong women female dogs and accuse weaker women of riding somebody else's coat
tails. We tell a big sista to put down her burger and turn
around and criticize a skinny woman for not picking one up. We
ride the loud mouth woman for "talking to darn much" and
likewise torment the quiet woman for "Being too quiet and
needing to take up for herself" Sad part is we don't
discriminate, we talk about everybody!!!
I've watched women dog out everybody from Oprah for catering to
white people and Halle Berry for not being able to keep a man to
young Willow Smith for acting to darn grown in her recent video.
All of these females are successful and there is something about
each one of them to be proud of but a lot of us can't seem to
see that. I have to wonder since we all share a common thread
(whether we want to admit it or not) is there something about
ourselves that we don't like, what has happened to us that we
cannot seem to get along. Why is that we fight amongst
ourselves, backstab & steal each others men (only to find out we
should have left him where we found him). We cannot seem to be
unified to support and stick up for one another. Everybody seems
to be out for themselves while other groups unite against us but
nobody else has to bring us down because we trample on the
spirits of each other daily.
Even if you live in a mini mansion, drive a luxury car, have
good credit, rich handsome husband etc, this does not mean that
should look down your nose at the woman with 4 kids, no husband,
living in income based housing struggling to keep her lights on.
We ALWAYS think the grass is greener on the other side, I had a
woman who's child father is MIA tell me that I should never
complain because I receive a decent amount of child support and
I laughed and let her know that I would gladly give every dime
back if he would come relieve some of this overwhelming pressure
of feeling inadequate as a parent. If I could get just one full
night of sleep or not always be on the verge of losing my job
because I'm the one that has to call off or leave work for one
reason or another to accommodate my child - yeah he could
DEFINITELY have his money if I could have some peace! Money
alone doesn't make you happy (not true happiness), good credit
doesn't keep you satisfied, beauty doesn't make you any less insecure, fame doesn't make you less vulnerable or
cause you to be a good judge of character and being stuck up and
mean doesn't keep you warm at night or prevent you from being lonely.
You don't know how the sista sitting right next to could have
carefully put on her make up this morning to hide the beating
from last night. The teacher you handed your child over to this
morning could have sent her children off to school from a dark
house with empty bellies. The teller you just got rude with at
the bank could know that today is her last day on her job and
have no idea how she is going to survive past next weekend. The
sista at the office that appears so busy could be typing her
goodbyes to all the people that she loves because she plans to
blow her brains out tonight after she tucks her babies into bed.
The woman you pass in the hallway could be on her way to have an
abortion because she fears what others might think or how the
woman that sent you this e-mail may drink an over abundance of
alcohol every night to mask the nightmares of an abusive childhood.
Ladies we HAVE TO DO BETTER!!! I'm not suggesting that we all
like each other and be phony, but I am asking that we all try to
respect each other. You HAVE NO IDEA what the next woman is
going through, you don't know what past or current hurt and
pains have shaped her into who she is today. We spend so much
time trying to be as strong and hard as we are expected to be
that we end up cracking from the inside out piece by piece. If
we would spend 1/3 of the time we spend tearing each other down
to build someone up, encourage someone, show someone some love,
we could truly make a difference and save someone's life. PLEASE
don't be the straw that breaks another woman's back. Believe me
when I tell you that there is a woman out there that needs your
smile, your hug, your support, your prayer.
I hope that you read this and get something out of it other than
a laugh and that you pass this on to as many women as you can to
let someone know that you believe they are somebody special and
that if need be you are available to listen. Nothing bad is
going to happen if you don't forward this e-mail but I'd like to
think that something positive will happen if you choose to pass
it along. May favor be extended to each and every one of your
lives, keep your head up and know that someone somewhere cares!!!
Thank you !

Birthdays and Sleepovers
This past weekend, Whit had a sleepover. It was her birthday weekend. This was the first sleepover that she had. I think that it went really good. Boy those girls stayed up just about all night and then got up around 4:30 am on Sunday morning. I don't know how they did it. But then again they are young and have tons of energy.
13...My daughter turned 13, on Sunday. It's crazy how I can remember just like it was yesterday when she was born. I remember so clearly the day we came home from the hospital. It was a beautiful day outside. She has gone from being a super quiet baby to a chatterbox young lady. I love how sweet and caring she is to others. I also love how she is so outgoing.

Catch up time
Ok I have totally neglected my blog. I have a new job, a state job. It's crazy how even though the job is not stressful like my old job, it seems that I never have time for myself.
So let's see, I can't believe how big the baby has gotten, she is 7 months old now and she keeps me super busy. I bet once she starts crawling I will be chasing after her non stop. Which might be a good thing because I need some exercise.
My oldest girl will be turning 13 next month. I really can't believe how fast the years have passed by, but 13 years also makes me realize just how long my grandmother has been gone.
The boys are the boys, nothing big going on with them.
Next week I will be another year older and hopefully a bit wiser.
I realize that there are certain people in my life that are very important and others that are just passer byes.....
This is my favorite time of the year. Fall, I love seeing the leaves change on the trees....We went to upstate NY 2 times in the last month and I loved each time being able to enjoy the foliage.

Letter to You
Dear Best Friend:
Just a note to let you know that I appreciate you being my best friend. As you know I don't like giving people titles. But let it be known that you are more than a great friend you are my other part. The person who doesn't judge me and knows all of my secrets and holds them not running your mouth. Damn it's been over a decade that we have known each other.
Remember that first time we met. LOL Who would have thought that we would have still been friends. LOL...
Remember that white outfit. LOL...Or the green infinity???
Anyhow crazy things have happened in both of our lives but we have still remained in contact. We may live miles apart but I bet you will agree that when we talk it's like we live next door to each other.
I hope you have a good day.
Love,
T

Communication
Communication is so important between people.
Never assume someone is a mind reader.
If you don't like the way something is speak up.
Don't stay silent.
Communication is important in relationships.
If you don't have it you can ruin a friendship.
It falls along the line of trust.
If you can't communicate then what do you have....

When will they grow up?
When is it time for someone to grow up? I wonder that often. People may give a variety of answers. I feel that it can vary from the people you hang with to your actions right down to if you are able to have an intelligent conversation with someone.
I know a few people who are of adult age but still say and do dumb shit. I will speak to a girlfriend of mine and she will have to remind me that not everyone thinks like we do. If you are doing stuff that my 15 year old does then it's really time for you to get a life.
Are these "adults" just stuck in their childhood?

I have come t realize
I have come to realize that...
I am not that superwoman that everyone expects me to be.
People are going to do things that I do not agree with.
I can't make everyone happy.
You have to accept me for me.
I am getting older and a bit wiser along the way.
Kids are going to be kids.
You should live your days like it's your last.
I miss my grandmother so awfully bad.
I compromise way to much.
People from my past are coming out of the woodwork.
Some friendships aren't worth saving but there are a few that are.
I do way to much for others and don't get that back in return.
We have two different outlooks on life.
I am annoyed by little things.

Happy 4th of July
"You can take them out of the hood but you can't take the hood out of them"....Tasha's thought of the day.
Wow it's actually the 4th weekend. Time is flying and we are due to have an entire week of 90 degrees and up according to the weather man. Hope he's right this time.
Why didn't I get invited to a cookout this year? That's so strange because usually I am invited to a few. Oh well fuck em...
We are headed to the beach supposedly tomorrow. For this one time I am actually on the fence about going or not. Maybe once I sleep on it and wake up in the morning I will be feeling different.
I wonder if we will go to the job this year again and watch the fireworks from there....
Got a baby shower on Monday and I don't want to go.
Man I can't wait to get these stiches out on Tuesday, I am about ready to take them out myself.

Various Things
It's amazing to me how insecure some people can be. I know I have some insecurities but I also don't think everyone revolves around me. That is some annoying shit.
Decided to stop being so readily available to people. People tend to expect that from you and when you aren't they get their underwear all bunched up.
Time to break up with my "best friend" our lives are in two different directions and I don't like that stupid title anyways. Especially when I don't even tell her half of what's going on in my life anymore and honestly don't want to hear about all the drama in hers.
Loving Angie's, Nani with her outrageous things that she says daily and laughing when I go to pick her up and Nani is watching Tyra all the time and wants me to watch with her not caring that she is running a daycare.
LOL....
Not loving the fact that we have 2 different outlooks on our future.
I am noticing how cheap some people really are, I mean I did notice that a long time ago and hear other's bitch about it, but to actually experience it for myself is a whole nother thing! All I can say is WOW...
Crazy seeing someone with way more gray hair on their head than you last saw them with. Is your life that bad now?
Wondering what manners if any do people teach their kids nowadays. Whit's friend gets in my car the other day and immediately changes my radio station! How dare she do that. Had to get her little self in check very quick. I dare one of my kids to ever do that.
