Why Wednesday

Why is it cold one day and then hot the next?

Why do I have to get up so early?

Why does my son think I am a taxi?

Why are people so jealous?

Why won't he just admit it?

Why do people ask dumb questions?

Why do I wish I could move right now?

Why is my mom taking so long to let me know what day to buy a plane ticket?

Why do I feel like saying fuck-it I am not buying a ticket?

Why do people call me and ask the same stupid questions?

Why does my family think I am rich?

Why do they constantly ask me for money?

Why am I getting ready to cut some people off?

Why is my preteen daughter pushing every button of me and her fathers lately?

Why do I not feel like going to the hairdresser today?

Why did I get paid today and am already broke?

Rain Rain Go Away

Rain Rain go away come again another day, because Tasha is sick and tired of it. I can't believe this weather we are having, rain for the next 3 days and the high is only going to be around 45-50 degrees and then sunny and highs in the low 80s this weekend!!!

This weather right here is why I am battling a cold right now and trying not to get my baby girl sick. This weather sucks, it's so unpredictable that you can't figure out how to dress from day to day. I am here on my maternity leave and am miserable sitting here in this house that can't seem to stay warm. I need some natural light to shine through the windows so that I can be happy. Not these cloud filled gloomy days.

Various Thoughts

Today is my last day at work!!!!

I will have a 3 month vacation.

On another note I am thinking of starting another blog, a blog dedicated to my family and the things that goes on with our daily life.

I got a new hairstyle which in my opinion makes me look old but everyone seems to love it and they think i look younger. Hmmmm....

Why do people get you things that you didn't register for your babyshower. It must not be on there for a reason.

I hate to be told something that I would have remembered. There are certain things that I would not forget.

When are we going to have nonstop beautiful weather?

I am still up in the air about what to do while the kids are on April School Vacation.

It's time to clean house and cut off people who do absolutely nothing for me.

Why does Whitnee think she can create a Facebook page and I not find out. Kids!!!

I have so many boxes of Girl scout cookies I need to open a store.

Last Baby

This is my last pregnancy

My last child that will be born

The last child that I will carry inside my body

The last time that I will feel the kicks

Or Experience the uncomfortableness with not being able to get comfortable at night

I will not miss the stuffy, bleeding nose that I have had for 9 months

I will love being able to go back into my regular clothes

I will hate having to go back to work after 12 weeks and leaving the baby with a stranger

I will hate that I now will have to watch what I eat and not get a free pass to just pig out whenever I want because I know the weight will come on quick

I have mentally been preparing myself for sleepless nights again

I will not look forward to people trying to touch my little one without asking (old people are the number 1 culprits)

I will enjoy being able to have my mixed drink again.

Growing up

This weekend I took my daughter and her friend roller skating. Initially I was going to just drop them off and come back and get them in a few hours.

My daughter walked out of her room dressed and ready to go and at that very moment looking at her seeing how much she is growing up and looking more like I did at her age was the moment that I decided that I will be going and staying at the skating.

Yes she is still innocent but I know all to well how quick that can change. The kids these days are so much more advanced than when I was younger. (Man I feel old saying that) Even though initially she felt that I cramped her style by coming later on in the day she said she had a great time.

Growing up

A few things I will miss as my little boy grows up

Collecting different things from rocks, sticks, to his new collection of paper towel and toilet paper rolls.

The greeting that I get when I come home is priceless. It truly makes me feel so loved.

Hugs and Kisses all the time.

Him dressing up as a superhero and wanting me to tie his blanket around him like a cape.

Telling me I am his best friend and he loves me so so so so so so so much. LOL

Glasses - Updated with Pic

(I think he looks so handsome)

My oldest needs glasses. Man no one ever told me how expense glasses are. I don't wear them and never have had to talk about even getting any.

The bad thing also is that my job does not have an eye plan so I had to pay cash for everything. You would think that a firm this size would offer a plan since it seems that 80% of the employees wear glasses or contacts.

The good thing is that T actually looks so nice in his glasses. I will have to post a pic soon. He even likes the look.

Stress

Stress is something I hate. Something that I know most people don't like to deal with.

I have been having this crazy feeling like something wasn't right with a close friend of mine for a bit. You know I am usually right 99.9% of the time too. So today I made that call. Damn when I heard what was up and why no communication, it bothered me a lot.

Things happen that you have no control over. When things go wrong with someone, sometimes it just seems like things just stay following them.

But all will hopefully be ok for my friend. I am glad we spoke so that I could reconfirm somethings that needed to be confirmed to them.

I am grateful that all of the stress wasn't actually brought this way.

Working in an office

It's time I visit this subject...This is something that annoys me so much. I work in an office with approx. 25 other people.

We occupy just about the entire floor of the building that I work in the other part is compiled of empty offices. No one can get into any part of the office areas without a badge to let them into the doors once they get off of the elevator.

In our women's bathroom we have lotions, hair products (which I would never use lol), and air fresheners. My question is....

Why must you stink up the bathroom and then leave and not spray the air freshener as a common courtesy? Why do you insist on having me ready to die when I walk in the bathroom after you than stunk it up to hell and feel like I am going to die? Is this how you do at home.

I just keep a side eye look at all of the women in our office thinking to myself "nasty bitches".

LOL...

Another Lost Tooth

So last night I am looking at my youngest and realize that he is missing another tooth. The tooth that is right next to the one that just fell out last week!

He had no idea that it fell out, no blood no pain nothing. So we spent about an hour going through the entire house every room to try to find this tinny tiny tooth. After that I drew the conclusion that either he swallowed it while he was eating pizza last night or either with his superman antics when he jumped from somewhere it fell out.

So we ended up writing the tooth fairy a letter explaining to her what happened and if we find the tooth he will put it under his pillow for her.

This morning he woke up very happy that he or she (yes my son feels that there is more than one tooth fairy and there are both men and women tooth fairies) came and brought him his quarters.

Sometimes

Sometimes I....

just want to stay in bed all day
wish I hit the lottery
wonder why people think the way they do
would like to just be able to chill without people bothering me
would like a day without anytype of drama no matter what the size of it is
wish I could go back in time knowing what I know

Lost tooth

So my youngest lost his first tooth yesterday and he was so happy about it. It was like he had been waiting all of his life for this to happen.

He was so proud of himself to put his tooth under his pillow and to wake up and find that the tooth fairy had visited him. LOL...

While I was so happy seeing him happy, part of me was a bit sad because now I see that he is growing up.

Music

I grew up in a house full of adults. I was the only child growing up with my mom, grandmother, 2 aunts, grandfather, and 2 uncles.

One thing that I remember is always hearing someone put on the record player and playing all types of music. Or my grandmother playing her radio in her room or while she was taking a bath. LOL Singing up a storm too.

I love all sorts of music now and I have definitely passed this down to my oldest. It amazes me how he will have on a song that I grew up listening to when I was his age and he will know the song word for word and then he takes it to a next step where he will even download the song to his IPOD. He is so cool where he doesn't even care if his friends laugh or don't know the songs or better yet probably have never even heard of the artist.

I am grateful that he can recognize REAL music and appreciate it. Artists that could really sing not always need music to mesh out their inability to sing.

Random Songs

I always get old memories when I hear this song. This is one of my all time favorite songs.

This has truly got to be one of the most gangster love songs ever made. I can sing it word for word.

Now according to my hubby this is "our" song.

Ex-Factor what more can I say.

TGIF or as some call it Freaky Friday

TGIF

I am so glad it's Friday even though I don't have much planned for this weekend except to go to the hairdressers tonight.

I was listening to the radio and this song came on and I remember when I first heard it I loved it. I didn't have to hear it a few times for it to grow on me.

Tuesday, January 12, 2010

I am loving this song right here

I just heard this song and I am really feeling it.

Thought of the Day

Religion is always a touchy subject with people. One thing that I do have to say is that I find it extremely hard to deal with people who do not believe in God. I don't care what religion you are as long as you believe in God.

Family Reunion's and Cell phones

Family Reunion:

So I am not sure if I ever mentioned it but I am heading up our Family Reunion which takes place this July! OMG I wish someone had mentioned to me how difficult it can be and very time consuming!

I mean I was only our area secretary for our last one 2 years ago and never did I imagine it being so hectic being the chairwoman now!

I love my family but if this was a paying job and I was the boss, I would never hire half of them to work for me. I like getting things done and not procrastinating and no arguing just everyone being able to come to some sort of happy medium, but oh no everyone sure does have an opinion, and the thing that bugs me more than anything is we have a ton of family in this area but no one wants to volunteer but the same 7-8 people to help do things. But then those same ones who won't help out will be the 1st to complain.

Man I will be glad when July comes and goes!!!

Cell phones:

Finally I got my upgrade on my phone and it's nothing special but at least it works and you can talk on it with the other person being able to hear you.

It's funny how right before I was due for my upgrade my phone started acting up. I wonder if the cell phone company purposely does something to your phone to make it start messing up to force you to get that new phone so that you are yet once again stuck into another contract?

Flights and Christmas

Man the storm that we had this past weekend was awful. My other half was on his way back home on Sunday and his flight was delayed and he did not get in to Boston until 1am and then by the time we got his bags the airline "misplaced" his other suitcase. Once we got the claim filed with them we didn't end up walking into our house until 4am only to have to get right back up at 6am for both of us to go to work.

Fortunately I gave my job a heads up the night before that I wouldn't be in until approx. 9am but he didn't do the same so I felt awful for him having to get right back up and drive 45 min to work.

Note to him: Never travel in the winter because you never know when a storm will come and impact your travel home.

On another good note, for the first time in my life I can say that I am completely ready for Christmas down to what we will have for dinner this year. It's going to be very low key in our house which I am looking forward to.

My sister

Even though we have different mothers I feel grateful to have you as my sister. No we didn't even grow up knowing about each other, until that day when I was about 12 and our father knocked at my mother's door with you.

You were younger than me but immediately we formed a bond. A bond that has stuck and now that we are older that same bond has grown stronger than ever. We may not live in the same state and see eachother every once in a while, but I am very grateful to be able to call you MY SISTER.

Songs

I was watching some videos tonight and they were playing some good ones from the 80s, 90s and early 2000.

Remember I had almost forgot about this one.

Then they played Tupac and it made me think of how talented he was.

Oh then when I saw this video it brought back memories of me going to my first house party and it was in my neighbors basement. I swore I was cute then.

What happened to them? This was my jam.

Appreciate

So my other half is on vacation for the next 2 weeks in Jamaica. I have to say that for me and the kids, we are also on a vacation now that he's gone for a little while.

I have a mini break from cooking, the house seems to stay straight, (lol) I am actually able to sleep the entire night without being woke from excessive snoring. LOL... Don't get me wrong I do miss the company and the adult conversations, but I know that he will be back soon enough and we will go right back to our routine.

13 years we have been together and I am a firm believer that people need a little break from each other from time to time. This is something that really works for us. When either of us goes on a separate vacation we seem to truly appreciate each other A LOT more.

I have a girlfriend who's husband went to FL for literally 1 night and she was a mess, she was upset her kids were all messed up, she didn't know what to do with herself. When we spoke on the phone I told her I was so surprised with all of the complaining she does about him she sure was breaking down with him gone to see his family for basically a little over 24 hours. LOL So this same friend has literally called me every day since my hubby has been gone to ask the same questions "Do you miss him?" "Are you lonely?" and I give the same response day after day. HELL NO!! LOL...I know that pisses her off.

Lesson of the day...It's good from time to time to get a little break from your spouse as long as you appreciate them when they come back.

Black Friday

So this year I agreed to brave the crowds with a girlfriend of mine and go out at 3:15 am on Friday morning (in the rain) to Walmart and Target (not sure why we went to Target since I didn't need anything) in search of Christmas gifts.

So here I am outside in the freezing cold rain outside so that I can fight, push, shove, run, just to get my child a Nintendo DS. Well once those doors opened all hell broke loose and here we were running through Walmart to find the DS which they placed in the food section of the store apparently to throw everyone off. (Did I mention that I am now 6 months pregnant) LOL....

We finally found the DS and she got 2 and I got my 1 that I came there for. We then proceeded to find a cart and do some serious shopping and all the while I am thinking to myself "I am to old, tired, and pregnant for this" You would have thought that they were giving things away with the way people were carrying on in there.

It's 6:00 am and we are on our way out of Walmart and my GF decides that she would loveeeeeeeee to go to Target too... So me being the team player I agree and follow her in my car there all the while wishing I could go home and get back in my bed. We get to the mall where Target is located and bam there are so many people there in the lines alone I literally wanted to turn around and go running back to my car and go home. But no I stay out with her and we go through the store and grab a few things...On our way out of there which was about 45 min after we got there she asks if I want to go to Toys R Us with her and me in my polite way declines.

So we go our separate ways and on my drive home I make a mental note to myself "Do not go out on Black Friday for 2010"

Fruit cups

These fruit cups have become something that I love but my one complaint is that every time I open one with out fail the juice spills out. I have tried to hold it at an angle while opening these things, but I have not had any luck.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to open these things without spilling the juice out?

Halloween

Today I come into work and a few of my coworkers are showing pics of their kids in their Halloween costumes and I feel like the worst mother in the world because not only did I not take any pics of my kids in their costumes, we didn't even carve a pumpkin this year. I think my brain is fried to be completely honest with all that I have going on.

I will say it over and over again I need about 3 of me to keep up with my crazy life.

As for Halloween we had a blast. I was invited to go over to my girlfriend's house and then do trick-or-treating in her neighborhood with her family and a family friend. Usually we just go in my neighborhood and then go back home. But with them it was an adventure that the kids loved. We got tons and tons of candy and the kids were actually really good this year about being on a strict 3 candy a day restriction. (I of course had to hide their buckets)

Note to self: Next year just grab a pumpkin from the grocery store for the kids to carve.

Babies and Birthdays

Yesterday was my birthday and also the day that I found out that I am having another girl. Yes for those of you who didn't know. I am expecting my 4th and last child. I am excited but nervous at the same time.

So I spent my birthday working during the day and sitting at the hairdressers for the evening and then leaving and not even liking the way my hair came out.

My daughter gave me the cutest gift ever, a hand made jewelry box with a necklace inside.

This weekend the hubby and I will go out to eat, which should be nice. It will be nice for just the two of us to go out without kids with us.

Tooth Fairy

Within the last month my daughter has lost 3 teeth (2 of them were within the last week). Three teeth that the dentist said would fall out sometime in the summer, since the new ones were already coming in. Well my daughter still believes in the tooth fairy, so I still go through the entire routine of putting the money under her pillow and taking the tooth, etc...

It's crazy because last night I forgot all about it until my hubby and I were talking early this morning and then it hit me that I forgot to do the exchange. Faced with her waking up and not finding her "gift" my hubby and i devised a plan for him to go and distract her so that I could run into her room and slip the money under her pillow and grab the bag with the tooth. If you could have saw us...We were a mess.

The things you do for your kids.

The Sick Bug

Man I tell you when it rains it pours. The sick bug has been going through my house for a week and a half and has hit all of the kids. It really sucks when this happens, because I tend to feel guilty for having a career and not being able to stay home with them, but instead I have to ship them off to a family members house, or the one day that I do stay home with them, I spend half the time cleaning the house, the other half trying to still deal with work situations from home. Oh and forget about the times with my other half stays home from work. I get more phone calls when he is home with the kids than ever, always with silly questions such as, where is this and where is that, how do i do this, how much medicine should I give them.

Hopefully everyone will get better very quick.

4 Years

Wow I have actually had this blog for 4 years. I happened to read some of my real old posts and now I laugh so much at them. I definitely see how I have changed with some of the things I write about now as opposed to in the beginning.

You know I have seen people start blogs that I truly enjoyed reading and then for no apparent reason they just stop blogging. I often wonder what happened to them. Now I have a handful of blogs that I read and that suits me just fine. No longer do I need tons of blogs to read. I think it's part of me getting older.

Part of me getting older is becoming more wiser, making smarter choices than I once did in the past. I hold onto and value my family and friendships more. It upsets me when I see people who take things for granted. I try to surround myself with less drama and remove myself from people who seem to love it. I have learned how important it is to keep in touch with people even if you don't feel like talking to them. Even dropping a card in the mail or sending an email just to say hello and let people know you are ok and thinking of them because tomorrow is not promised to anyone.

Random Thoughts

I received this from a co-worker and I just had to share:

Random Thoughts of the Day:

I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.

More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can’t wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that’s not only better, but also more directly involves me.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

I don't understand the purpose of the line, "I don't need to drink to have fun." Great, no one does. But why start a fire with flint and sticks when they've invented the lighter?

Have you ever been walking down the street and realized that you're going in the complete opposite direction of where you are supposed to be going? But instead of just turning a 180 and walking back in the direction from which you came, you have to first do something like check your watch or phone or make a grand arm gesture and mutter to yourself to ensure that no one in the surrounding area thinks you're crazy by randomly switching directions on the sidewalk.

That's enough, Nickelback.

I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

The letters T and G are very close to each other on a keyboard. This recently became all too apparent to me and consequently I will never be ending a work email with the phrase "Regards" again.

Do you remember when you were a kid, playing Nintendo and it wouldn't work? You take the cartridge out, blow in it and that would magically fix the problem. Every kid in America did that, but how did we all know how to fix the problem? There was no internet or message boards or FAQ's. We just figured it out. Today's kids are soft.

There is a great need for sarcasm font.

Sometimes, I'll watch a movie that I watched when I was younger and suddenly realize I had no idea what the fuck was going on when I first saw it.

I think everyone has a movie that they love so much, it actually becomes stressful to watch it with other people. I'll end up wasting 90 minutes shiftily glancing around to confirm that everyone's laughing at the right parts, then making sure I laugh just a little bit harder (and a millisecond earlier) to prove that I'm still the only one who really, really gets it.

The other night I hit a new low at an open bar. I had already hopped on highway blackout when, inevitably I had to find a bathroom. Eventually I decided it was probably on the other side of the bar so I tried to walk over there, but ran into a guy coming the other way. We played that, Both go left, Both go right game to no avail, so I finally put out my hand to guide myself past and that’s is when I realized, yup, that’s a mirror I just tried to walk through. And the guy on the other side is me. Even cats can re cognize their own image.

How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.

I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

The only time I look forward to a red light is when I’m trying to finish a text.

A recent study has shown that playing beer pong contributes to the spread of mono and the flu. Yeah, if you suck at it.

Was learning cursive really necessary?

Lol has gone from meaning, "laugh out loud" to "I have nothing else to say".

I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

Answering the same letter three times or more in a row on a Scantron test is absolutely petrifying.

My brother's Municipal League baseball team is named the Stepdads. Seeing as none of the guys on the team are actual stepdads, I inquired about the name. He explained, "Cuz we beat you, and you hate us." Classy, bro.

Whenever someone says "I'm not book smart, but I'm street smart", all I hear is "I'm not real smart, but I'm imaginary smart".

How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear what they said?

I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars teams up to prevent a dick from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers!

Every time I have to spell a word over the phone using 'as in' examples, I will undoubtedly draw a blank and sound like a complete idiot. Today I had to spell my boss's last name to an attorney and said "Yes that's G as in...(10 second lapse)..ummm...Goonies"

What would happen if I hired two private investigators to follow each other?

While driving yesterday I saw a banana peel in the road and instinctively swerved to avoid it...thanks Mario Kart.

MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. Pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

I find it hard to believe there are actually people who get in the shower first and THEN turn on the water.

Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.

I would like to officially coin the phrase 'catching the swine flu' to be used as a way to make fun of a friend for hooking up with an overweight woman. Example: "Dave caught the swine flu last night."

I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

Bad decisions make good stories

Whenever I'm Facebook stalking someone and I find out that their profile is public I feel like a kid on Christmas morning who just got the Red Ryder BB gun that I always wanted. 546 pictures? Don't mind if I do!

Is it just me or do high school girls get sluttier & sluttier every year?

If Carmen San Diego and Waldo ever got together, their offspring would probably just be completely invisible.

Why is it that during an ice-breaker, when the whole room has to go around and say their name and where they are from, I get so incredibly nervous? Like I know my name, I know where I'm from, this shouldn't be a problem....

You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you've made up your mind that you just aren’t doing anything productive for the rest of the day.

Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after DVDs? I don't want to have to restart my collection.

There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.

"Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this ever.

I hate being the one with the remote in a room full of people watching TV. There's so much pressure. 'I love this show, but will they judge me if I keep it on? I bet everyone is wishing we weren’t watching this. It's only a matter of time before they all get up and leave the room. Will we still be friends after this?'

While watching the Olympics, I find myself cheering equally for China and USA. No, I am not of Chinese descent, but I am fairly certain that when Chinese athletes don’t win, they are executed.

I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Damnit!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.

When I meet a new girl, I'm terrified of mentioning something she hasn't already told me but that I have learned from some light internet stalking.

I like all of the music in my iTunes, except when it's on shuffle, then I like about one in every fifteen songs in my iTunes.

Why is a school zone 20 mph? That seems like the optimal cruising speed for pedophiles...

As a driver I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers, but no matter what the mode of transportation, I always hate cyclists.

Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.

It should probably be called Unplanned Parenthood.

I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

I think that if, years down the road when I’m trying to have a kid, I find out that I’m sterile, most of my disappointment will stem from the fact that I was not aware of my condition in college.

Even if I knew your social security number, I wouldn't know what do to with it.

Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, hitting the G-spot, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I’d bet my ass everyone can find and push the Snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time every time...

My 4-year old son asked me in the car the other day "Dad what would happen if you ran over a ninja?" How the hell do I respond to that?

It really pisses me off when I want to read a story on CNN.com and the link takes me to a video instead of text.

I wonder if cops ever get pissed off at the fact that everyone they drive behind obeys the speed limit.

I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lites than Kay.

The other night I ordered takeout, and when I looked in the bag, saw they had included four sets of plastic silverware. In other words, someone at the restaurant packed my order, took a second to think about it, and then estimate d that there must be at least four people eating to require such a large amount of food. Too bad I was eating by myself. There’s nothing like being made to feel like a fat bastard before dinner.

These are priceless.

Great Day

Today we went to a see the WNBA at Mohegan Sun.  I have to say that all went well the kids didn't argue and everyone had a good time. Thank god!

Game underway

Here's a pic of me trying to pose. LOL

This pic would have been perfect if Baby A would have been looking

Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc...

I have a Facebook page which I have found some old friends from my childhood which is cool. But here's my problem... there are people who are coming out of the woodwork friend requesting me who I never liked back then so what would make them think that I would want to allow them into my life now. Seriously are they just requesting me to be nosey? I think yes, because what other motive would you have besides that.

It's just interesting to me how some folks are.

TGIF

I know that i have been slacking on posting but I honestly have been so so busy and unmotivated to blog. Instead I have been entertaining myself by reading other people's blogs.

Well I officially hate Massachusetts weather. It's the end of May and it was 50 degrees yesterday. Come on it's basically summer and I had to turn the heat on in the car yesterday. WTF...

I have a cookout that I am invited to this weekend and I would rather sit home and relax and watch tv. Sunday we have a birthday party at Chuckie Cheese first thing in the morning which is great so that by the time the crowd comes we will be on our way out.

Enjoy your weekend!

Happy Birthday A.

Today is my little man's 5th Birthday. I can't believe how fast time flies. Tonight we will go out to dinner. Then the birthday party on Saturday.!!!!

Monday, March 23, 2009

Time flys by and before I realize it I think of how long it has been since I have blogged. I think back and remember when I would try to blog daily and now I will post maybe once or twice a month. Life still goes on though. I have my few blogs that I read daily and then others that I loved to read and then the person just one day stops blogging...I wonder sometimes what happened to them and just figure that maybe they got tired of blogging.

One thing that does annoy me are people who make negative comments about others that read or write blogs. Everyone has their own opinion and if it makes someone feel good or entertains them by either reading or writing a blog, don't hate. It maybe that person's outlet. They maybe able to express exactly how they feel by writing things even if it's a one liner that may work for them.

I have reconnected with a few people from my past and I am glad that I have. They say things happen for a reason so I this has happened and I feel good about it. As I get older I am slowly separating myself from those who have to much negative energy. I am surrounding myself with those who bring more positive energy. If you are going to always consume yourself with negativity then you need to be alone and not try to put it off on others.

It's been a while

Alright it has been forever since I did a post. I guess I have been extremely unmotivated. Instead of posting I have been entertaining myself with reading other blogs. I am just about over a nasty bout with the flu/cold. I swear I haven't been this sick in a very long time, it really sucks not to have energy and not feel yourself.

So next month I will be heading down to FL to see my mom which I am really looking forward to because I need a vacation so bad. I haven't taken any time off from work since last July. I am overworked.

This weather here is crazy too. I officially hate New England's weather. This winter has been awful with all the snow storms the cold it seems like it will never end.

Random

I don't know if it's me or not but it just seems as if we are getting a hell of a lot more snow here this winter than last. I mean every time I look it's snowing here. Can't we get a break!

It's more annoying that on top of this snow I have issues with my car. I was telling a friend of mine it's not like we have the best public transportation here in the 413. It sucks so this weekend I truly felt like a prisoner in my own home.

On another note I am planning my vacation already. I know Spring and Summer is no where near but a girls gotta have something to look forward to. I will go to FL to see moms and then take a few long weekend get aways this summer.

A Must Read

I just read two books back to back (Something Borrowed and Something Blue) and I definitely recommend them for leisure reading. But you have to read them in order. This is definitely a girly book so i don't recommend this for the fellas. Have you read these books?

Complaint of the day

One thing that annoys me are people who think their life is so perfect and are blinded by what is going on right in front of them and when they find out they can't handle it.

Christmas

Christmas is only around the corner and that means waiting in long lines in the stores, having to park in east bubble fuck in the parking lots, and deal with rude sales people. I tell you I am really considering doing most if not all of my shopping online just so that I don't have to deal with the above. I am also disappointed that I have to work the day after Christmas. I know for sure the office is going to be DEAD.

This year I am only buying the kids 5 presents each since they don't play with half of the things that they ususally get anyways. I know that they are a bit disappointed but I think that in the end they will fine with it.

October 29th

Happy Birthday to me!!!!!!

Wednesday, October 22, 2008

Fall is my favorite time of the year. This is probably one reason why I will stay living in New England forever. I love decorating my house, I love the seeing the leaves change on the trees, I love knowing that the holidays will be coming, and I love being able to wear that one sweater that makes you feel like a million bucks. LOL...

What's your favorite time of the year?

Question of the day
How do you know when it is time to end a relationship?
I was speaking to an associate of mine the other day and she was telling me how she has been in an on and off again relationship for a while with this guy. She spoke about them wanting to get married. She spoke about how she is the only woman who would really care about him and put up with his mess, etc.... Then she went on to tell me how they had spoke about him moving in with her since he lives about an hour away from her (they spoke about this about 6 months ago). Well about a week ago she told him she was interviewing for a higher position within her place of employment and he should think about making his move with her now. His response to her was "How about we move half way". WTF!!! was that not a sure sign or what that it is time for her to move on!!! Yet while we are talking in one word or another she is not going to end it.

Drama

I have had my share of drama in my life. But lately I have started to get very annoyed with everyone else's drama. I don't know what it is but I have come to a point in my life where I absolutely don't want to hear about anyone's issues. Maybe it's a phase that I am going through I don't know.

With some people I use to tell them what they wanted to hear when they asked my opinion on things. But, the thing is I don't think that's right. So now when I have been asked my opinion I tell them exactly how I feel. I can't make everyone happy you know. I would want someone to tell me the truth rather than sugar coating it.

Do your work

One thing that I can't stand is a lazy man. I am not talking about men who just sit around all day and do nothing, because they automatically fall into that category. But I am mainly speaking about men who work but constantly call out of work. That irks me so much. I can see if you take a day off here or there to run errands or whatever. But not just to call out at least a few times during the month and then when you are at work you don't hardly do anything either.

Vacation

Vacation....

Vacation is where I am headed on Friday. Initially i was so excited to be going but now I could care less. I guess with money being tight that I would rather stay home and just go to the beach or something. Oh and there is the issue about me flying. Something that I haven't done in 8 years.

The one thing that I will love is not having to wake up so early and go to work.

Nice Weather

As the weather gets nicer out I find it increasingly hard to want to come to work. Every morning, I lay in bed wishing that I didn't have to go to work and the weekends pass way to quick.

I can't wait for my vacation.

Rain and Heat

I love when it rains but not when it's cold outside. The perfect rain is when it's super hot out and you get that thunderstorm that just rolls in. The smell of rain is intoxicating at times.

We are getting ready to have a potential "heat wave" here in MA this weekend. I am actually looking forward to a few days of steady weather. I know that I will definitely get a laugh at seeing some people who need to get the fashion police on them.

No rest

I haven't been this tired and unmotivated in a very very long time. This move has definitely tired me out. I need a couple of days off. As much as I would like to be 100% unpacked by this weekend, reality tells me that this won't happen. I have 2 birthday parties this weekend, 1 next weekend, a graduation party the following weekend, and a pampered chef party the last weekend. When am I going to get a break!!! July is looking just as busy too.

It's Friday Baby

Today is such and beautiful day out and yet i am stuck here in this office until 5. The time is moving super slow and I am itching to be out in the nice warm weather. My move day is Sunday and I am not even packed fully. I have been in a slump and unmotivated to pack anything else.

I need a vacation.

I have been glad to see people whom I haven't seen in a while, people who you can be yourself with, who make you 100% comfortable and you anticipate seeing them even if it is for 5 min. There is nothing worse than having to be around people who get on your nerves and annoy you.

Moving and Summer

Moving is one of the things that I least like to do. I have been unmotivated to pack anything and our moving day is right around the corner...So instead of relaxing on this long weekend, I will be packing my butt off.

June is right around the corner and I am so ready for some steady nice weather, where I don't have to have a jacket on when I leave out in the morning. Even though the price of gas is going to be ridiculous this summer I am not going to let it ruin my joy of enjoying the outdoors one bit.

April

So it's been a couple of weeks since my last post. Well, i just haven't had anything to really talk about, my life has been the same ole same with a couple of bumps in the road that have since been smoothed out.

Tomorrow is the last day of swimming for this session. I have been contemplating if i will resign the kids up again for another session or take a break until the fall. Time is flying really fast and pretty soon it will be May. I am just really looking forward to the nice weather.
I just love his smile
.

Tuesday, March 25, 2008

My hubby got back on Thursday and I tell you I do not want to experience that drive to JFK any more for a while. A trip that should have taken me 2 1/2 hours there and 2 1/2 hours back turned into a whole 8 hour day from being stuck in traffic there and back. I was pissed. My whole day was a wash. Big A had a great time in Jamaica and wants to go back again before the year is out. It's amazing how he waited all this time to go and when he finally goes back home he can't get enough of it.

Here's a picture of him and a childhood friend he grew up with.

Tuesday, March 18, 2008

Now into week 3 for swimming and he loves the water. I am so glad because I was worried that he would never get in the pool. I have to pick up Big A up from the airport on Thursday in NY. I am not looking forward to that drive at all. I tell you even though he's been gone for a week it's seems like longer, plus I am getting tired of having only kid conversations at home.

Monday, March 17, 2008

It's Monday and I wish it was Saturday so that I could have slept late. I can barely concentrate today at work. I will definitely be going to bed early tonight.

Here is a pic of an eel that my oldest did as part of the Mural in his schools hallway.

Swimming

After reading Melanie's blog. I decided to enroll Big Boy A into swimming classes. W* is already taking classes and there was a preschool aged class on the same day and time that W* had her class.

Well we went on Saturday for his first class and everything was going fine. Until the instructors were showing them how to kick their legs and the water splashed in Big Boy A's face. He jumped up and wouldn't go back into the pool for the rest of the lesson. I was annoyed and frustrated all in one. Fortunately there were other parents there who's children were afraid to go back into the water also.

After the class ended the instructor just told us to keep brining him back and eventually he will get in the water. I also met a parent there who's son also was like Big Boy A and he told me that his son wouldn't go back in the water after the first 15 min of class last session and now he loves the water. I felt much better after speaking to that parent. So next Sat. I hope it's better.

Here he is before the freakout.

Happy Friday

Happy Friday!!!!

I am so glad that it's Friday. It does suck though that wea re getting ready to get more snow tonight into tomorrow morning. That just screws up my Saturday plans. Well there's always next week!

Random Things

I have wanted to post but I just don't know what to say lately.

Here's a pic of Big Boy A. He has told us that we can't call him Baby A anymore. But secretly he will always be baby A to me. This is what a 3 1/2 year old boy thinks is funny. Showing your food to take a picture.

Here's another pic of me and my best friend of 12 years. We took this pic. at my Mary Kay party on Sat.
My hubby will be going back to Jamaica for the first time in 18 years next month to visit. I am very happy for him. I secretly think that he's nervous though. Even though he says he's not.
Ok February is almost over and each and every week there was either rain or snow.

Monday, February 11, 2008

You set the tone

Ok I have been contemplating blogging everysingle day for the past few weeks and finally here I am. Not much to talk about except that I am doing me. I was talking to a friend yesterday and they told me that if i'm not happy then no one in my house is happy either. Basically that I set the tone for how the mood is in my house. I was thinking about that and they are right in my case anyways. Last week I was walking around all annoyed with stupid stuff and I now to think about it everyone at home was a little tight too. Hmmmm....I guess I will have to work on it.

I am about sick of this February weather. Can we have one whole week straight without snow or rain??? I am utterly annoyed.

This and That

So here I am still surviving in my third week of employment here at this job. I swear if the money weren't this good and the fact that I can drop my hours during the summer. I don't think that I would be here.

Everyone is annoyingly nice. So much to the point where I have to throw on my "don't even say anything to me" face on. I guess that they are realizing that I am not as dedicated as they are to my job. I am certainly not taking it home with me. Once 4:30 comes I am out of the door and out of my work thought process.

So far my exercise/healthy eating has paid off in a big way. The pounds have been steadily coming off. Plus I am not eating as much meat as I used to and drinking mainly water. Boy cutting those little things out of your diet can do wonders for your skin, health, and your overall. The problem that I am facing now is that I am constantly now having to get new pants/skirts for work since I have been loosing. But hey I guess it is worth it.

2008

New Year
New Job
New outlook on life
This is a new year, a new beginning. This year I have made a promise to myself to not get caught up in all the bull that people have or bring and to focus on me and what makes me happy. I think people sometimes tend to forget about what is going to make them happy, cause they are constantly involved with other folks lives.
I am another year older and hopefully much more wiser. Another thing I learned is people only know what you tell them about you or what is going on in your life to go off of. So with that said the less they know the better. Keep it real simple.

Top 10 Annoying Things

I feel that it is time for me to revisit things that annoy me in no particular order.

  1. People who keep a nasty desk at work.
  2. People who don't signal when they drive. (I hate that)
  3. People who don't wash their hands after they use the bathroom.
  4. Girls who let guys around their kids when they haven't known them for long.
  5. Grown women who think that wearing bright ass weaves are cute.
  6. Grown men who think that baggy jeans look fly.
  7. Men who are more needy than women.
  8. People who talk so loud when they are on the phone like everyone wants to hear their conversation.
  9. Having to ask someone more than once to do something.
  10. Someone who calls me and doesn't say anything on the phone. (Wait didn't you call me?)

Tuesday, November 13, 2007

I am so sick of the weather. My seasonal depression is kicking in. I don't want to get out of bed nor go to work or anywhere for that. I am getting so tired and ready to go to bed at 7:00 each night like I am an 80 year old. I need warmth and sunlight but I still want to stay in the same city, which I know is impossible. But I will keep wishing plus it's almost my bedtime.

Thursday, November 01, 2007

It's almost the end of the week and I am still broke.....

*D.... Keep your head up. I bet they see now that they can't survive without you there.

I'm taking a step back.....

Boy am I glad that T's football is over. My weekends are now free. I am going to enjoy this so much. No having to get up at 8 am on Saturday and no having my entire Sunday afternoon taken by games. The things that we do for our kids.....

Milestone

I'm ready now.....

This week flew by and with another year of my life approaching within the next couple of days, has me really thinking about life. Choices that I have made over the years. Some really stupid that I wish I could take back but can't and some really smart ones that I will cherish forever.

My dad always told me to live my days like it's your last and I believe that. I know that he did. But I often wonder if he feared death.....Did he know it was his time... That will be a question in my mind forever that I will think of each and everyday.

I am contemplating whether or not to send a card to the other half of my family for their upcoming milestone. I think my conscience is really fucking with me lately. I guess with all this time on my hands I have nothing else better to do but to think.

About to take a step into something new for me, something permanent, hopefully I won't sink. Naaaaaaaaa I definitely won't, I'm a Champ.

*WG I hope that you are still being a Champ in every aspect. I am still trying, but as we both know that is a work in progress.

Bolthouse

For the past several months I have been addicted to this drink. If you haven't had it, please run to your grocery store or organic food store and pick up a bottle. Just one sip and you will be hooked.

Blue Goodness is my favorite and then Lemonade Mango. It's all natural and it fills you up. I drink so much I think that I will wake up one day and be a blueberry. I wonder if they have a bolthouse anonymous group?????

People

People come into your life for a reason and sometimes seasons, So they say..... I actually believe this. I have known many different people in my life and yes at the time they did serve a purpose. Some I just outgrew or they outgrew me. But at the end of the day I have to say that I am grateful for having them in my life whether it was just for a season or not.

Friday, October 12, 2007

It is Friday and not a day sooner. This temp thing is starting to wear on my nerves. Nothing really on the agenda this weekend but shopping and staying warm cause the cold weather is here.

I am thinking I may have to join a group for people who are addicted to the Syle Network channel. It is on the tv day and night. Everyone at home is starting to get sick of me and my shows. Oh well that's why there are other tv's in the house.

Tuesday, October 02, 2007

So finally a blog.

I have just really not been feeling this whole blog thing anymore. I have seriously thought about shutting this blog of mine down. I have just not been motivated at all. I have had so much bull shit go on in my life over the past month that I just don't even have anything at all to talk about.

Maybe the motivation will come back....

Fall

One of my favorite times of the year is just around the corner. I love fall I love seeing the leaves change, the holidays. I love being able to wear one of my favorite sweaters that fit me just right. The only thing that I do not like is the inevitable cold ass winter that follows.

My thought for the day....Please try not to hold on to things forever. If you can't work it out then it's time to just call it quits for good. Remember life is a learning lesson.

Watch Your Mouth

Words are a very powerful thing, sometimes even more powerful than actions. Words can cut through someone like a knife and I don't think that people realize that at times. So therefore I think that people should really think before they talk because you can really hurt someone or piss them the fuck off and that's not cool. Because like I always say, "Don't dish it out if you can't handle it" or like my grandmother (god bless her soul) would say "Do onto others as you want them to do onto you".

Quote of the day

"Some people just can't handle the truth"

Vacation here I come....

Tuesday, August 14, 2007

The count down is on. I only have to get through this work week and I am on vacation. I will be so glad not to walk into this place for a week. I get to sleep in. Not have to wake up with the birds. I know *A will be happy that he doesn't have to get up either.

So we have tentatively booked a 4 day getaway. But the weird thing is is that the kids don't really want to go anywhere. I remember when I was a kid I would be psyched if my mom's said that we were going away. I didn't care where as long as we weren't at home.

Family Reunions and the Beach

We had a family reunion on Saturday, and it was crazy because there had to be about 90+ people there and I knew only about 30. I have got to keep in touch with people.

I am sitting here tired as ever because we spent the entire day yesterday at the beach and didn't reach home until 10pm. I had to drag myself out of the bed to come into work this morning.

My eyes are burning.
My body is begging me to just lay down so that it can rest.
I still have sand in awkward places.
I look like shit..
I am wondering if my feet are going to be able to get me to my car at lunch time.

Note to myself: Next time call out of work.

Tuesday, July 17, 2007

When I am annoyed or frustrated it is very hard for me to hide it. Most people say that I wear my feelings on my sleeve. I guess they are right. In a way this works to my advantage by people knowing when I am pissed with them. But it works to my disadvantage at times by it being hard to lie to someone and tell them that everything is cool.

Today I have been sitting here at my desk doing absolutely nothing. My throat hurts, I am tired, I think I am really getting sick. This is not a good thing for me. To top it off my co-worker keeps coming into my office telling me how she thinks her cat is dieing because she can't find it. Like i really care to hear that all day long. My suggestion to her was for her to go home and look for her cat.

I just might take tomorrow off and sleep the whole day.

Missed Birthday Party

So what if I didn't go to your kid's birthday party. Get over it. I was invited to bring my child to someone who I occasionally say hello too kids birthday party. By the way my child only met this kid one time. So we didn't go. Well I never knew how bent out of shape someone can get about this. I mean this chick took it to a whole new level. Telling me and another person who didn't go to the party that she was waiting to start the party until we came and her kid was crying cause we didn't come. So i responded by saying that I wouldn't hold up my party for anyone and she could have called if she was so called "waiting for us". I think that some people just love the drama. So anyhow I deliberately say hello to her every time I see her to make her have to say something. It's been over a month now so she needs to get over it.

Fried Dough

We have been on a fried dough kick over the past week. I have made it for the house everyday over the past few days twice a day. Last night I officially ended our fried dough kick. So now we have agreed that we will only have fried dough if we are at a fair or park, etc...

I don't know what is going on with blogger, but everytime that I do a new post it never shows up for me on my pc for like a week. But other people are able to see my posts. I am so annoyed. Does this happen to anyone else?

*SOD I would like you to know that I did sign T up for the Raiders last Sat. at Magazine Park. So we are all set. Yes we are with the winners for sure! Hopefully I will see you at one of the games. I am waiting for a new post from you.

It's getting HOT

The temperature is getting hotter by the minute today. They say it will be in the upper 90's today. Boy do I wish that I could be off today. I would take the kids to the beach. This is a perfect beach day. But I guess I will have to make the best of my day by sitting here in this boring office with little work to do.

At lunch I will brave the heat and walk to my car that is parked so far away....LOL....I am off on Friday, but by then the weather man is saying that it will only be in the 70's and a chance of rain. How boring. I am going to be off on a not so nice rainy day. I have been having this itch to go back to FL to see my mother, well to actually surprise her with a visit, but I don't think that will happen because I have absolutely no vacation time left and I need to build up some time for the holiday season. Such is life.

Enjoy your day.
